in the flavor text:

thessalian cavalry: should it be "greatest cavalry of the era" ?

Hypaspistes: shield bearers has ' ' around it.

sparabara have the cavalry keyword and extra flavor text.

satrapal cavalry are missing javelin keyword.

indian elephant on back of card has "no kings favor box" printed
and in flavor text says hat instead of that

I read through the files and made comparisons. Here is what I found:

None of the Alexandrian units had the keyword Javelins, instead it was noted in their equipment section. I'm not sure if this was on purpose or not, but I thought I would point it out.

Page 12:
Indian Elephant - flavor text should read "frightened the Greeks that Alexander"

Mercenary Hoplites - add keywords Phalanx and Ponderous.

Persian Cavalry - add keyword Javelins.

Page 13:
Satrapal Cavalry - change point cost to 150.

Sparabara - remove "levied troops from every one of its subject people" from flavor text.

Good catches!!

And no, the omission of the Javelin keyword was not intentional.

Okay, the most recent proofs have been put up.  Please download the new ones and go over them with a fine toothed comb.

I have a "poll the audience" question about the back of the Indian Elephant card.  To fit all the rules on the card and the flavor text, the font is fairly small.  I'm concerned its too small to read.  Anyone who is proofreading, please take a look and tell me what you think.  Should we ditch the flavor text and go for a larger font?

Although I don't have access to the proofs, as an "over 50" player, I can assure you that tiny fonts containing necessary game info is not going to be good.

You can access the proofs by clicking on the link in the original post.  (suggest right-clicking and saving; it's not a small file)

I'd drop the flavor text from the elephant.

Shouldn't the words be separated by a comma instead of a period When a unit has multiple keywords?  Should it read "Cavalry, Javelins" instead of "Cavalry.  Javelins."?  I don't have any decks here at work so I can't compare this to existing factions.

As for the Elephant I'd either nix the flavor text or just have the first sentence there - "The Battle of Guagemela was the first time Greeks faced the Elephants"

I'd do a similar thing for the Foot Companions.  Just eliminate the last sentence of the flavor text.

In the Sarissophoroi flavor text should Predromoi read Sarissophoroi?

Just a clarification for Second Wave.  It says "during the Movement & Command phase" and not "during your Movement & Command phase", meaning that it can be played on the opponent's M&C phase as well if you chose.  Is that correct?

For the combat modifiers card it shows Charging (+0)+0/+1, isn't now (+2)+0/+0?

Additional remark
For Quick Start Persian Armies the first line shows 11 Persian Cavalry.

That's an issue that will be fixed a different way, but yes, you're probably right.

I'll look into that.  I don't know that it gains us much.

Nope.  The prodromoi means (roughly) "scout" and they were equipped with javelins.  By giving them the xyston, the prodromoi became Sarissophoroi.

That is the idea.

The charge bonus is now +2 dice, however the Indian Elephant gains +1 Pow in addition to whatever the charge bonus is.  Just like the Umenzi GWE and most cavalry.

Let me rephrase.
On page 9 of the Alexander & Persia Proofs there is a card called "Combat Modifiers". That card states "Charging: (+0)+0/+1", it needs to be updated to; "Charging: (+2)+0/+0".

Hope that helps?

Also on "Combat Modifiers"
Under Frightened shouldn't the card show the new "Disrupted" modifier?

The Wuxing proofs reflect the current rules.

Charging (4+ base dice):  (+2)+0/+0
Charging (0-3 base dice):  (+1)+0/+0

Also note that "Frightened" is now an engaged-only modifier (not a general modifier).  I agree that "Disrupted" should be on the card (as an engaged-only modifier -- per the rules, Disrupted units can't shoot or cast spells) and almost forgot that--good catch, Torgg!--and just emailed Kaile to fix that.

Right, of course.  "Duh" on me for not picking up what you're saying.  Thanks!  I'll add that.
