Yeah, she's actually doing them right now for precisely that reason.  We're NOT letting any mistakes go through this time.  (I really, really hope!)

I plan to go over them with a fine tooth comb.

On another note Daniel is working on the Thracians as we speak.  The Thessalians required some more work and I gave him the notes on the Allied Greek Cavalry, so I imagine they come after that.

Also, as an aside, if you're interested in the historical stuff we've begun development of the Classical Greeks

Very nice.

BTW, I'd suggest encouraging Kaile to do the stat boxes for the units sooner rather than later.  (The one you just posted is obviously using a recycled stat box.) Then proofread very carefully, multiple times for errors.  (I found/corrected a few stat box typos in Wuxing, and as we know a stat box error slipped through in both Carthage and Dark Elves.)

Sadly number of eyes makes more difference than number of run-throughs, in my experience.  We did several look-overs of the Dark Elves but after a certain point your brain starts to assume everything is right :(  In that sense additional iterations can hurt more than help.  Best would be to share them pretty widely among playtesters, assuming that's ok with Chad.

Yeah, definitely.

I plan to double check them, have Chad double check them, have Scott double check them, pester Marcus to double check them, and (if its feasible) put them up online and have people here double check them.

I don't like making categorical statements, lest I tempt the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing, but I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure there are no typos on this release.

So it has been a month since the last update and I'm just wondering what is happening. Got any news?

We're churning away at it, but honestly I took two weeks off surrounding Memorial Weekend.  That was Kublacon, which sucks up a lot of my time the week before, and the week after I'm basically a zombie (getting sick didn't help).

We do have some approved artwork of cavalry units:

Sarissaphoroi (lance armed light horse):

and Thessalians (the best Greek cavalry of the era):

We are one small tweak from getting the renders of the Thracians done and are currently working on the Foot Companions.

the art is very nice. I did notice that they are all in a single pose but that's ok.

Their in very similar poses, but not identical.  I don't think they are more similar than we might have gotten from someone hand-drawing them.

Yeah, they are very similar but different if you really look at them.  The horse tails give away the differences methinks.

I noticed the horses were different but I think the riders may just be rotated a bit. I could be wrong. As I said I don't think it looks bad.

Pull out some of the early factions.  They tend to look very similar in pose.

Part of this is intentional, because the troops are very drilled.  But also its hard to convey motion with a still shot.  A lot of the poses look off, so we ended up with them all in a similar "just about to throw" pose.

These look really good. Thanks for the update. I'm really excited for this Kickstarter.

the cavalry was extremely drilled, especially the Thessalian one. their actual formation and what made them famous was a rhomboic (how the frag you can this shape in English? Oh the rhombus).

Are they going to use the normal cavalry helmet or their straw/cloth hat?

Note the different type of armament and the regal and expensive purple colour used on the clothes of the rich macedonians.
