New casino. Attached hotel opening in the summer maybe. Still hiring and firing staff at a pretty good clip. Might be advantageous for playing blackjack, but if poker is your thing probably better off elsewhere.

I'm trying to make it there this year.  I'm supposed to go to a wedding the following weekend in Virginia, and so I was thinking maybe coming out a week earlier then them, so I might need entertainment options.

Yes, Rivers Casino and Resort is now up and running.

They do indeed have a Poker room.  Big Ed and Rob Estrada were going to play before getting here for SFB day last month, but their plans changed and they didn't end up going.  So I don't have any better inside intel at this point.  I will probably swing by the place eventually, just to have a look.

Now that the NJ tournament is behind us, it's time to turn our attention to Battleground action at Council of Five Nations XL (40!). 

Council is really not that far away - Friday, September 29 - Sunday, October 1.

Tim will be joining us again, after a long hiatus, so we can guarantee at least four times as much laughter and merriment.

If you don't have time or just want to be a player let me know I can step up again. 

I can run a more normal event than I did last time or I can try and come up with some story based thing again.  Would be up to whatever people wanted.

That's kind of you to offer.  Maybe we could collaborate on something?  Something that would also allow us to play in the event would be pretty cool.  Kevin and I did something like that a couple of years back.

I could also run a Friday night big game event.  I've come up with a couple of ideas beyond "select teams, then line up and smash the crap out of each other"
