@Moose - Well crap!  I'm sorry to hear that  :'(

@Eric - The big game event starts at 8:00 Friday night if you think you can make it.

Well sorry to see that Moose can no longer make it.  Ah well.

Chris Dixon will not be attending either.

Any news on if Ron's gonna make it?

I think I am scheduled to work Friday, but I am thinking of coming down Sat and Sun. Also if there are enough people around I might decide to try and take part or all of Friday off. I am not promising that Fri will happen but that hanging out and kibitzing thing sounds pretty sweet. Since I have waffled so long on this I don't have accommodations lined up so people willing to share a room or let me crash on the couch would be much appreciated.

I will be bringing Chaos Faction proxies, and might even try to work on some hack-a-licious graphics. All the talk about Hawks lately and my reading up on medieval warfare has me thinking that Hawks will probably be the back up faction. Also, what about mercs btw?

Man, them's some sweet graphics.  Best mock-up card award!

I will get there some time on Friday.  Not sure if I am up for the big game on Friday night.  But I will be all in for Saturday and Sunday.

Food suggestion - Eric & I found this Portuguese BBQ place last year.  Food is very good.  Portions are large.  Not fast - food prepared fresh, so be ready to wait a few minutes.
I will have at least one meal there this weekend, probably more than one...

Good to see everybody who made it to the con. Fun was had. Just got home. Played Hawks a little bit, and Chaos Lords a lot. Bed calls. More later.

OK, I've recovered somewhat so here's some details!

We didn't have a large turnout as one of the players in our group (Rob) passed away last month, Chris had an obligation in Canada, and Steve got roped into working the weekend of the convention a week before it occured.  Still, we where not deterred!  We had Dave, Eric, Ron, Brook, and myself.  We also had Brook's daughter Catherine sit in on a game or two as well as my son Rylan.

Friday night big game (4000 points per side)
Dave's Lizardmen teamed up with my Dwarves to take down the coalition consisting of Ron's Hawks and Brook's Ravenwood Elves.

Saturday + Sunday Net Win Tournament
Each player got to select 2 factions to play for the weekend.  3 players had homebrew factions that they where eager to test out, and testing was had!  Each player got to play at least 2 games with their homebrew factions.

Eric had his (as yet unnamed) Egyptian God themed army
Ron had his Chaos Army
Dave had his Amazons

Round 1
Brook (Ravenwood) over Ron (Chaos)
Dave (Amazons) over Eric (Egyptians)
Catherine (Lizardmen) over Rylan (Undead)

Round 2
Brook (Alexander) over Ron (Chaos)
Dave (Amazons) over Eric (Monsters & Mercs)

Round 3
Brook (Ravenwood) over Dave (Lizardmen)
Eric (Egypt) over Ron (Hawks)

We had another big game Saturday night.
Dave Cheng's Dwarves and Ron's Undead emerged victorious over Brook's Orcs and my Wuxing.  In the process Dave discovered that he really liked Dwarves  ;)

Sunday
Brook had a wedding to attend, so we had a "true" 4 players.
Dave's Lizardmen triumphed over Eric's Egyptians
My Orcs emerged victorious over Ron's Chaos Faction

So the final standings where:
Brook: 3-0
Dave : 3-1
Eric: 1-3
Catherine: 1-0
Ron: 0-3
Marcus: 1-0
Rylan: 0-1

Ron was also kind enough to play Hawks against Rylan's High Elves.  Rylan won but let the record show that Ron was spotting him 400 points  :P

It was a great time as always and we where all thoroughly zonked by the end of the weekend.  We did gain some solid interest from Gamers on Games and we also made a serious impression on the owners of a gaming store in Pennsylvania called The Portal.  They want to carry Your Move Games products!  So we'll work with them to make that happen!

A tremendous thanks to all that attended.  I know that you all had to commit your time and expenses to come play with us on a holiday weekend and it means a ton to us that you chose to do so.  It really does.  I'll get some pics up shortly.

Yes, I would also like to personally thank the people who made it to our little tourney.  A good time was had by all.  Marcus and I are going to try to make the tournament fall on a date that is NOT the 4th of July holiday weekend to make it more convenient for all.

Hope to see you all at Council.

I played one game with Alexander this weekend and had a blast rolling all of those dice.  I was especially thrilled when my opponent Ron decided that he didn't want any terrain.

My army consisted of three Foot Companions, three Companion Cavalry and two 5" move spearmen(can't remember the name).

Can't wait for the pictures.........
