I'm contemplating running a fun mini-campaign on the eve of the 2016 Championship tournament at Total Confusion this year.  Would there be any interest for this sort of thing?

Edit:  The event is up!

Event #M217

Battleground Fantasy/Historical warfare 3 round mini campaign

Pick your faction, start small and finish big!

Each player selects a faction at the beginning of the event.  Players using the Monsters and Mercs faction select their mercenary faction for round 3 at the beginning of the campaign before any games are played.

The min-campaign begins at 3:00.  For the fully committed players, 3 rounds will be played.  1 before dinner time and 2 after.

Round 1
1500 points, light terrain, Ticking Clock, 3 Command Actions per side
For this round players are only allowed to use Core units and their choice of either Elite or Standard units.  This is determined BEFORE opponents are drawn.

DINNER BREAK!
nom nom nom

Round 2
2000 points,Terrain, Breaking point, 4 Command Actions per side
All Core/Standard/Elite units for a player's faction are available for this game.  No Satrapal Levies available for Persia.

Round 3
2250 points, Terrain, Total Warfare, Special Condition, 4 Command Actions per side
All Core/Standard/Elite units for a player's faction are available for this game.  Satrapal Levies now available for Persia.  In addition, players may purchase up to 2 Mercenary units totaling up to 900 points.  That's right, you can have an Ancient Red Dragon!  See above for players using the Monsters and Mercs faction.

Exceptions to Core/Standard/Elite status

Umenzi Shamans count as Core units for the sake of the campaign itself, but not for army construction.  Just like it does in Kingdoms.  So in other words, they are available in the first round even if you don't select Standard units.

Roman Triarii count as Standard units in regards to both the campaign and army construction.

I'm going to use unit prices as printed on the cards and keep any house rules to a minimum since this is supposed to be a fast, fun campaign.

Sorry! Not practical for Blakely & I to get out there before Saturday morning.   :-\  At least Totalcon has many other cool games to keep yourselves occupied before then!

I must have missed this post, Marcus. But even though my interest level is there, my ability to be there for Friday is uncertain at this point.

Maybe we should run a Starfleet Battles event on the large map(my black one) and the big counters.

How sharp are you on the SFB rules?  I'm pretty lost on them at this point.

We'll wing it.  If we have to look something up, we will.

I'm just throwing it out there to see if anybody is interested.  The game would be cool with the large counters that I have.

Plus, you'd be surprised about what you could remember sans the tractor rules.  :)

OK, I think I'm just going to roll with this.  Even as small a number of committed players as 4 can make this work.  Anybody that wants to drop by for a single game is also welcome since that won't break the mini-campaign.  So here be the rules!

Pick your faction, start small and finish big!

Each player selects a faction at the beginning of the event.  Players using the Monsters and Mercs faction select their mercenary faction for round 3 at the beginning of the campaign before any games are played.

I am going to go for either a 3:00 or 5:00 start time.

OK guys, the event was officially submitted.  We only need 4 dedicated players to make this work and we have them.  So any additional players would just be gravy.

You don't even need to play in the entire event, you can just float in and play a game or two if needs be.

Come.  Be a part of the gravy.

Pretty sure what Brook did to your Wuxing army counts as a dick pic in most states.  ;)
