Try not to get your factions stolen, have your computer crash, have your car tires explode, or lose a filling on the way to the convention this time around, OK?

FYI I just ordered the prize medals (similar to last year and at Championship) that read either "Victory on Both Axes" or "Victory on One Axis."

I'll also plan to attend and while I not longer do the SFB thing, I'd be happy to play the obligatory Friday afternoon game to take one for the team.

I'm not a tournament SFB player, but I love playing scenarios with multiple ships and different victory objectives.  I've been thinking of running a session of "Romulan Privateers", a scenario from Advanced Missions that involves raiding a planetary mining operation that is defended by a BATS.

That sounds so boring

Shiney beverages will again be provided.  I will have Apple Cinnamon, Tropishine, and NEW pumpkin pie.

I may make more flavors if you have a request let me know.
Some ideas:
Cherry Pie
Chocolate Covered Cherry
Orange Creamsicle
Jolly Rancher
Pina Colada
Almost any fruit [as long as I can get a juice of said fruit I can make it]
Lemonade / Iced tea  [just lemonade, just Tea, or both mixed]
Or if you got some crazy idea let me know i might try it

You know me as a chronic beer drinker, but I sampled some of your stuff Saturday night at the last Council and liked it.  Now of course I was in no condition to pass an honest judgement at that time, but I do remember liking it.  So maybe I should give it a shot a bit sooner, eh?

At least I wasn't as tanked as Ben.  He clearly won the drunken story of the year award for his hijinx.

I've been craving your apple cider shine since last year!   I know I enjoyed it a little too much last year,  my pictures show me getting looser as the night went on...

We will be staying closer this year so we will be able to stay later too

Folks, it is most excellent to see the enthusiasm here for Council.  Less than 3 months away now.  I am in full Council prep mode; late as usual.  Will check in here as best I can.  Will do a little writeup on Amazons at Dexcon after some critical things go out the door.  Maybe next week.

Eric S - Just discovered the message you sent me - replied via email.

Carl - Close Action!  I think we can accommodate that!  Bostwick said he was planning one.  When you fill out the GM event form, please indicate in the comments section "Please don't schedule me during the Close Action game".

More soon!

For those of you thinking about running events at Council, the GM reg form is now up and live on the SWA web site:

http://www.swa-gaming.org/CouncilEventForm

I know Carl is planning an SFB scenario, and Ron ran a couple of things last year.

Please remember that Council is one of the most generous cons around - we pamper our GMs.
  • Run just one game and get in free for the whole weekend.
Run 2+ games and not only do you get in free, but you get a special GMs-only T-Shirt as well.

Events are due by Sunday, August 16th.

More soon,

Yeehaw!

Hopefully my vacation gets approved

oh BTW Vaction approved!  We'll be there, and earlier than last year, we'll be playing the Friday night game (if it's still on).  Granted we'll be wore out from the drive so don't expect great things lol

Looking forward to seeing you all!

As usual, Berklee stuck me with a 4-6 Friday class this Fall.  :-\  So once again I'll be rolling in late and will see you all Saturday morning.
